Anatomy and physiology
All Crocz are bipeds, tall stature, averaging 4 meter high. In some clans, the tallest ones can be 6 or even 7 meter high. The Morphological characters (Neo-Facial-Traits) of the 7 tribes are very specific. Percentage of bone to cartilage of the skull can vary among tribes, as well as the number of teeth. Body scales are typical and can allow identification. Their size and smoothness differ in all tribes, they can alternate colors. Most of them have this biomimetic ability to synthesize solar energy, much like the leaves of a tree. The moulting is continuous so there is no specific season, however, the metachemistry of the scales is linked to reproductive success.
Notes on nesting behavior and daily habits
There are two types of nesting behavior:
In type one, the mothers dig the sand to lay their nests and protect them fiercely until they hatch. A few hours after they hatch, the babies take their first swim with their mother, and then they are left to survive on their own .
In type two, When the ready-to-hatch start their singing cries in chorus, mothers help them break the shell by rolling eggs gently in their mouth. Then, they put all babies inside their giant jaws and carry them lovingly to the water. While the mothers of some tribes leave them to survive on their own, most choose to look after them for a few weeks.
Interestingly, we noticed that all young’s are particularly vulnerable to a ruthless furry animal, who physically looks like the beloved raccoons pets of Mintopolis.
DAILY HABITS
The Crocz spend most of their time laying in the sun, which may seem indeed a strange practice inhabitants of the Webtrias kingdom. However, we came to the conclusion that this habit is vital to them, as it increases both their body temperature, and their energy to digest, hunt or fight.
